The Kindle Classroom Project promotes the love of reading by providing Kindles and an unlimited library of books to elementary, middle, and high school students in Oakland and the Bay Area.

A non-profit organization, the KCP is run by an amazing group of volunteers, in partnership with dedicated teachers who care deeply about their students and the power of reading.

Since the KCP inception in 2011, more than 1,000 generous supporters from around the world have donated 2600 Kindles and 2412 e-books.

So far 3395 students and 127 teachers have participated in the program.
