Well 2024 is off to a busy start.

We continue our work getting all the Kindles and Fire tablets donated in the last year and a half organized and safely stored, updated, and ready to send out to students.

Our new blog Love That Book! is going swimmingly. We’re posting a book review every week to our website, and our LinkedIn page. By the way, if you’re not following Pageturner on LinkedIn, please give it a go. Liking and sharing our posts helps spread the word about the organization and what we’re up to, and where we need support.

Speaking of support, we posted an advertisement on LinkedIn for a software engineer to help update and maintain our website. Much of what we do depends on the website. It’s the library portal for our students, and it provides insight into important data about our classroom program. If you know someone who might be interested, please have them get in touch with us.

One example of what we can see via the website is a list of the top books being read by students. Currently the list includes:

  • 1. It by: Stephen King (33)
  • 2. The Hate U Give by: Angie Thomas (17)
  • 3. Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #1) by: Jeff Kinney (9)
  • 4. Sisters (Smile #2) by: Raina Telgemeier (9)
  • 5. milk and honey by: Rupi Kaur (8)

Thank you all for your continued support and participation in our efforts to get more books into the hands of young readers.
